Named after Italy's most famous poet, there are more than 425 Dante Alighieri societies in 58 countries.
The Nottingham Dante Alighieri Society was formed in 1979 and promotes knowledge and appreciation of Italian life, language and culture.
The next meeting is on Tuesday 21November at the Cathedral Rooms starting at 7:30 pm
